Brief Summary:
Practice overnight hike. This is available to Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders. Accompanied by an adventurous activity guide and or instructor. Approx. 12 km. Suitable for entry level participants who play sport or exercise regularly. Cub Scouts 10 years and older can attend.

The activity will not be under direct adult supervision. 

The activity will involve both male and female youth members.

Both male and female leaders will not be present.

Additional Details

Finish time Approximate only parent/carer to be available to collect their youth member from 12 noon.

Approx 12 km Belgravia Street, Sunbath Track, Tuckers Lookout, Valley Track, Blackheath Glen Reserve, Double Echo Point, Hargreaves Lookout and Shipley Road.

Please note Valley Track involves unfenced sections close to cliff edges. Stairs and a ladder will be encountered. Locals use this track regularly to access the valley however we don't recommend this for anyone uncomfortable with heights.

Suitable for youth members who are learning to carry a loaded pack. This route includes walking track, road verge and unsealed road.

Minimal costs involved self catering breakfast and morning tea. This camp is self-catered so please bring whatever suits your liking. It is important to bring sufficient food for the duration.

Choose hearty and nutritious foods that will provide sufficient energy.

Camping at Blackheath Glen Campground. Toilets & Storm shelter are available. Water can be obtained/treated from Pulpit Hill Creek.

Scout uniform is not required however please wear your scarf.
